Despite threatening rain on Tuesday night, the ladies played their final round of the 2018 Spring Tennis Competition. Rain during play did not deter the ladies and continued playing and enjoying the tennis. Esma Baker emerged the overall winner of the Spring Competition with a total of 150 games over the 9 rounds. Esma narrowly defeated Leanne Livingstone who won 145 games for the competition. In third place was the consistent, Sandra Matthews winning 132 games. Congratulations to Esma who played keen, competitive and consistent tennis throughout the whole competition.

Following play in the last round, the ladies then partied on, to wind up another very successful competition. They are now looking forward to the ever popular February Mixed Teams Night Competition.
ROUND 9 RESULTS
The final Round played on Tuesday night saw the consistent Leanne Livingstone and Lynn Peterson win with the very good score of 22 games. Leanne and Lynn played well to win the last round from Esma Baker and Sandra Matthews winning 19 games.
Maria Neill, playing with Temieka Rolls who was filling in for Susan McLelland won 11 games, while Jan Myers and Courtney Taylor managed to win 8 games for the round. The ladies are reminded that social tennis is available on Thursday mornings commencing at 8am. New players will be made most welcome.
