HALLOWEEN: Some Grenfell residents had some scary visitors on Halloween afternoon/evening.
I was away but neighbours told me that a number of ‘welcome scary people’ knocked on their door.
Peter and Sylvia Butcher said a little group “The Tyagong Street Terrors” visited them for a trick or treat. They knew they could visit as the welcome signage was visible.
DROUGHT RELIEF
CONCERT: Dallas Munck was invited to play the drums in the backing group at the very successful Drought relief Concert held at the Young Golf Club.
Eleven different artists performed on the day where much needed funds were raised.
Dallas played well and thoroughly enjoyed his day.
Vicki Walsh from Young will be a participant in the New Talent Section at the Gidgee Coal Bush Ballad Awards at Pittsworth Qld on Saturday November 17.
Vicki will be singing “The Ballad of Weddin Mountain” written by Dallas’s mother Robyn.
Robyn and Dallas welcomed a visit from Tracy Coster who was on her way to the Leeton Country Music weekend.
Tracy Coster is an Australian country music singer and songwriter. She was born on 12 April 1966. Her father, Stan Coster, was an acknowledged songwriter
SCULPTURE BY THE SEA: Whilst in Sydney recently, I had the privilege of visiting the outstanding ‘Sculpture by the Sea”. Although I did not get to see them all, I was amazed at the whole presentation, with more than 100 sculptures from Australia and abroad transforming the Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk into a temporary sculpture park.
Now in its 22nd year, Sculpture by the Sea is one of Sydney's key annual arts events, drawing more than 500,000 to the 2km coastal walk from Bondi to Tamarama.
Works this year included sculptures by top artists and emerging talents from Australia and abroad. If you have not been this is a must for your ‘bucket list’ next year.
