The gardens will be open as part of the Grenfell Garden Club Open Gardens weekend on Saturday, October 13 and Sunday, October 14.
The garden owners have been able to present their gardens in magnificent order despite the drought.
Originally six gardens were going to be open to the public before Noel and Sharon Cartwright added their Cowra Road garden to the list of venues where there gates will be thrown open to the public.
The Cartwright’s garden is located at 107 Cowra Road on the right hand side as you leave town.

Garden 1
Noelene Perceval’s garden at Unit 7 on the corner of Tyagong and Melyra Street.
Noelene’s garden is described as a ‘quaint courtyard garden”.
Garden 2
Cherie and Graham Patrick’s garden at 31 Forbes Street in Grenfell is described an “enclosed established garden”.
Garden 3
Alisha and Jamie Wright’s garden at “Springfield” on the Cowra Road. Turn right 17km from Grenfell just before the blue church onto Brundah Hall Road. “Springfield is 3.5kms on the left.
The garden is described as a “new semi final Australian native garden”.
Garden 4
Bernadette Dykhoff’s garden at 62 Gooloogong Road is described as a “large well established garden”.
Garden 5
Val and Barry Knight’s garden at “Melyra”, 12 Bald Hills Road which is 3kms from Grenfell on the Gooloogong Road. Turn left.
The Knight’s garden is described as a “large established garden”.
Garden 6
The sixth garden open is Laureen and Charles Harvey’s “expansive country garden” at Mylandra Park which is located 25kms from Grenfell on the Gooloogong Road.
Turn left on Wheatley’s Road, the garden is a further 5km along on the left.
Garden visitors are invited to enjoy morning and afternoon tea or lunch supplied by the Grenfell Red Cross ladies at the home of Bernadette Dykhoff.
The gardens will be open from 10am to 4pm on both days with a $2 entry fee for each garden.
Programs, which include a map to the gardens, can be picked up from the Tourist Information Centre on Saturday morning.
The Grenfell Garden Club meets on the first Tuesday of every month and welcomes new members.
