The first week will see the popular Friday Board Games and Lego from 3pm, this begins today and is a great opportunity to bring a friend or two along and challenge them to one of the numerous board games available, or create a masterpiece with the library’s extensive supply of Lego.
The following Friday will be the first movie screening for the month, this will take place on October 5 starting at 2.30pm.
Please feel free to take your own bean bag or cushion and join in watching the popular Australian classic, Babe.
Please note there are only 60 places available for the movie screening so be sure to get in early, there is FREE entry and the Friends of Grenfell Library (FOGL) will be running a Candy Bar, please be advised that no hot food is allowed to be bought into the cinema.
The second screening will be a family movie night and will and will take place on Saturday evening October 13 at 7pm. The title for this screening will be announced shortly.
This is great local school holiday entertainment.
The final movie will be screened on Tuesday October 23 starting at 2.30pm.
Again the title for this screening will be announced shortly.
The FOGL Candy Bar will run at each of the movie sessions. Each of the movie sessions will have a limit of 60 people.
The movies will be screened in the Grenfell Community Hub cinema which is located at 92 Main Street (the cinema is opposite the Art Gallery in the Hub).
It is hoped that the screenings receive good attendances to allow for them to continue into the future as this is a great service for local residents.
For the children who love to read there is also a huge range of new book titles to keep them entertained these school holidays, as well as new toys, DVD’s and magazines for hire.
