You no longer need to be a Centrelink card holder as the Food Hall is now open to ALL members of the community. We see farmers and business people and those working part or full-time finding budgeting difficult with higher costs for rent and electricity etc, so now we have opened our doors to anyone in the community who would like to buy quality items at affordable prices. Come along to the Food Hall, register your name to use the service and see the fabulous grocery products available. You will be made most welcome.
Once registered you pay just $10 to purchase food each time you come along. The Food Hall not only provides food and grocery items, it also provides a FREE morning tea where members of the community can enjoy a chat amongst friends and even make new friends in a wonderful atmosphere while having a cuppa and a sandwich. Your $10 can easily add up to $50 – $70 worth of items which can include long-life milk, cereals, rice, tins of fruit, fresh fruit and veges and other items needed in every household. There are free items and items at a slightly higher price on separate tables.
We are not taking food away from other shops as this will give you extra money in your pocket to spend, some people have said they now have extra money to have a haircut more often or to buy their favorite food from the supermarket, bakery or our local butcher. So the Food Hall is actually assisting other Grenfell food stores to be able to continue to thrive and operate well in our town, so come along and enjoy your Friday mornings at the Grenfell Food Hall. If anyone is struggling and needs help with food please come and see me or you can phone me and discuss. Many thanks to all the customers who support us and enjoy the morning.
