CATCHING UP: On Tuesday evening Terry and I attended Canowindra Lions Club dinner meeting where the District Governor Gavan and his wife Jenny Ellis were guests.
Whilst waiting for the members to arrive, we were surprised by a tap on the shoulder by a tall gentleman who said “I know you, you are from Grenfell.”
This was none other than a former Commonwealth Bank Manager Bruce Moll. Bruce and his family left Grenfell in 1989 when he was transferred to Karratha WA, where they stayed for four years.
When Bruce retired from the bank, the family moved to Port Lincoln where they owned and operated a Marina for ten years.
Bruce now lives in Mooloolaba in Queensland, their son Stephen runs a RACV Caravan Park in Busselton in WA and their daughter Erin is a Solicitor in Port Lincoln.
Pam, who is not enjoying the best of health, lives in Wagga. Some years ago, Bruce purchased on of the beautiful old banks in Canowindra. He has turned part of the bank into two self contained units.
One unit has tenants and the other he or the family use when they visit Canowindra. Bruce wishes to be remembered to all in Grenfell.
