Prior to the Lions Club meeting on Monday August 6, President Chris Moran presented a ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ to Mine Hosts Margaret and Noel Gundry and patrons of the Railway Hotel.
The Railway Hotel and patrons have always been great supporters of the Lions Club especially with the Friday evening meat raffles and Lions Mini Lotto.
Monies raised from the raffles and mini lotto support local and Lions charities.
Recently the Club and the Hospital Auxiliary each presented $3000 to the Weddin Day Therapy for the purchase of a State of the Art Treadmill.
The Club also donated $1000 to purchase hay for the Lions 201N4 Districts “Need for Feed” Campaign.
Mini Lotto:
Mini Lotto in down to 17 numbers. The jackpot remains at $10000 - Select six number 1-17.
Last week there were eight five-number winners. See today’s Classifieds in the Record for results. The draw this week will take place at the Criterion Hotel.
As a courtesy when filling in your numbers please write the selling agent on the ticket and please remember to ask someone from the selling agency to sign your ticket before placing it and the money into the box.
Sincere thanks to the business houses of Grenfell who supports the Mini lotto; Mini Lotto would not be as successful as it is without your support.
Grenfell Lions Club:
Volunteering in Lions Clubs provides diverse opportunities in club leadership, training, membership development, youth projects, or in a range of practical projects as diverse as emergency relief, tree planting, catering, fundraising, running community events.
Every club is different and offers members not only the chance to help out, but to become involved in shaping and guiding the club in the longer term. It’s not all work though.
Lions Clubs are fun and social. Lions build lifelong friendships through their membership and participation. Available for men and women, young and old.
