In 1968 the first grade side took on Young in the grand final and came away with the win making it a huge milestone for the club’s history.
The festivities began with an official luncheon at the Grenfell Bowling Club where former and current players reminisced while celebrating the club’s many great achievements.
Following the luncheon celebrations continued back at RB Bembrick field with the club’s annual Ladies Day as well as a game of Kids v Dads before the Mighty Panthers first grade side took on the boys from West Wyalong.
RB Bembrick field was packed with members and visitors all enjoying a great game of rugby.
The Panthers first grade side came away with an exciting win against West Wyalong Weevils 17-13, with try scorers for Grenfell being Matt Randall and Jarrad Wilson. Frazer Ryder was announced player of the match while Matt Randall received the prestigious Bill Eastaway medallion.
Celebrations continued long into the night with a number of people heading to the Criterion Hotel, the club’s major sponsor.
Club officials would like to thank all those who came along and supported their big day, including their generous sponsors. See photos on page 4 of today’s Grenfell Record.
