Cancer does not discriminate and when it strikes your grandmother, aunt, mother, wife, sister, niece, daughter or friend it can turn a family’s life upside down.
Games and times are as follows:
11.20am Youth League – Canowindra v Manildra.
12.40pm League Tag – Grenfell v Manildra.
2.00pm First Grade – Grenfell v Manildra.
The day kicks off with the unbeaten Manildra Youth League boys taking on the second placed Canowindra Tigers who boast five Grenfell juniors in their squad, namely, Matty Ryan, Adam Hewen, Frazer Ryder, Dan Edwards and Lachlan Stevens.
This should be a ripper of a game as the Youth League matches of late have being played with plenty of spirit so it will be worthwhile to get down to Lawson Oval early and support our local boys.
The League Tag girls will go into this match knowing how crucial it is, as a loss will see them slip out of the all important top three whereas a win will consolidate their spot.
The First Grade game is also important for the Goannas top three aspirations as they come up against one of the premiership favourites in the Manildra Rhinos.
With the bye and two soft wins in recent weeks the Goannas will need to be at their best against an opposition who have a big and physical forward pack and who will want to atone for their shock first round loss at home to Grenfell.
CHANGE OF DATE FOR 1988 AND 1998 REUNIONS
The reunion for the 1988 and 1998 premiership winning teams originally set down for Saturday, July 7 will now be held on Saturday, July 21.
On this day the Goannas and Girlannas will be playing at home against the Eugowra Eagles and holding their Reverse Draw function later that evening at the Bowling Club.

LEAGUE TAG
Last Sunday at Lawson Park in dismal conditions the Girlannas after a second half scare were able to defeat the Condobolin Ramettes 24 -10.
After going to what appeared to be a match winning lead of 14 nil at halftime the Girlannas had to hold out a fast finishing Condo who at 10-14 down were coming over the top of the locals.
Zoe Gavin scored a converted try to calm the nerves of the local supporters and a late try to the Girlannas rounded off the scoring.Best & Fairest points went to Zoe Gavin (3), Abbey Joyce (2), and Breanna Anderson (1) with Chloe Madgwick picking up the players player.
Tries were scored by Zoe, Rachel Causer, Caitlin Dixon, Abbey Joyce and Chesea Spalding (first try scorer) with Isabelle Holz knocking over two goals. Scott Lawler had a good day claiming the $140 first try scorer bonus after Chelsea crossed over wide out.
FIRST GRADE
With the mercury hovering at a very chilly 8 degrees the Condobolin Rams after 20 minutes took a surprising 10-8 lead over the home team.
At this point however the points dried up for Condo and the Goannas went on a scoring spree to rack up 70 unanswered points in the remaining three quarters of the match to win 78-10.
Condo have had a tough season but as usual they never gave up although it was never going to be easy for them on the day with only two reserves.
Phil Ingram had a big day scoring 34 points including 3 tries and 11 goals as well as picking up 3 best and fairest points and joint players player with Ben Abbott.
All up Grenfell scored 14 tries with Sam Ingram notching up a treble and the other best and fairest points went to Ben Abbott (2) and Dan Harveyson (1).
Brendan Hewen did the right thing by his mother Susan when he crashed over for the opening try in the jersey (10) she purchased at the first try scorer Calcutta and is now $190 better off.
