This provided a huge home crowd for the Panthers to take on the Temora Tuskers.
The game started fast and physical, nothing unusual for a Grenfell / Temora clash.
The score remained 0-0 until the 38th minute when Temora scored in the corner, the half time score was 5-0 to Temora.
The second half started in a very similar fashion with some big hits and and structured attack.
The Panthers were awarded a penalty in front of the posts and were able to make the score 5-3.
Temora then ran in a try in the 20th minute but were unable to convert so the score stayed at 10-3.
Grenfell then surged and with some structured play Stuart Hughes crossed the line and the try was converted by Matt Randall making the score 10-10.
The game was anyone’s at this stage but with both teams grinding away in the 79th minute Temora scored the winning try making the final score 15-10 to Temora.
This weekend the Panthers hit the road to Harden which will be another tough battle.
We encourage any supporters who are looking for a day out to travel across to Harden and cheer on the boys in black. Hope to see you there!
