MEN'S TENNIS
The Men's Summer Night Tennis Competition was finalised a few weeks ago and the start of the Men's Winter Night Competition was put on hold to allow the many players being farmers to plant their crops for the 2018 season.
The men are now anxious to start their Winter Competition which will begin soon. Meanwhile the men should keep in touch with their game by attending social tennis which is now being played on Thursday. Please contact John Walmsley 6343 2117 or Arnold Brown 6343 1482 for more details regarding starting time. Already a few players have been turning up for a friendly game and anyone who would like a hit will be made most welcome.
INTER TOWN FORFEIT
Unfortunately Grenfell had to forfeit their match in the first round of the Inter Town Tennis Competition which was played at West Wyalong last Sunday, May 20.
The other three teams, West Wyalong, Forbes and Temora played for the points in the first round. Round 2 of the Inter Town Tennis Competition is set down for Sunday, June 17. This round will be played at Grenfell and hopefully our players will rally for the round.
If you are selected to play, please make every effort to make yourself available.
Wishing the Henry Lawson Festival Committee a very successful weekend of events.
