Five children from St Joseph’s Primary School recently attended the 2018 Snowy Mountains Inter-Schools Equestrian Competition with Kate Clifton being announced the overall champion year 6 rider for the carnival.

Sisters Kate and Emma Clifton along with their brother Henry as well as brothers Banjo and Archie Metcalfe travelled to Jindabyne to compete in the four day competition from April 28 to May 1, 2018 along with their parents Sally Metcalfe and Sarah Clifton who accompanied them on the trip.

The students competed in a variety of different events throughout the carnival including Dressage, Showjumping, Stockhorse classes, Showhorse, Sporting and more.

Each of the five students representing St Joseph’s Primary School Grenfell gained places in various events over the course of the competition and all students reported they had a terrific time.

Congratulations to these students for their successful performances particularly Kate who was named overall year 6 champion.

Well done, this is a fantastic achievement.
