With both the Grenfell Stingers and Parkes Wanderers having won all their opening games for the season who was going to come out on top?
Was this game going to be as exciting as the new budget? well no. We lost 6 nil but.....we were down a few players.
Ash was away doing her Jewish Bar Mitzvah, Amber was in Vegas at a spotlight convection, Ross was on a cruise making babies and the rest were in rehab.
But in every game you can still look at the positives like we're all getting a 10 dollar tax break from the Federal Government’s 2018 Budget.
Mitch will be spending his on two beers, but as long as it's not full strength.
Parkes warm up like they had all be watching drills on YouTube, but we’ve got Jarrod.
He had watched the whole 14 seasons of Grey’s Anatomy TWICE.
We still don't know why because one season would have clearly been enough.
Their players might have had too much pace and more hair than Martin, but we had at least 12 more supporters and a very cute baby on the sideline .
They may have been better looking, according to Connor, but we hit the post at least 4 times.
We might have gone into the first half 1 nil down, but at least Ben didn't score an own goal.
The second half whistle blew and we kept hitting the post but at least Christian didn't score, we would still be hearing about it.
Their passing might have been slick, but not as slick as Michael's hair.
They scored a number of times late in the game, but at least we got to practice the kickoff.
As and old wise owl Murray once said “well there's always next week”, but no we have the bye.
Players player went to Ben Walker.
Not bad for a player in the losing side, just lucky the opposition didn't get to vote.
