Saturday was special for the Jeffries family from Parkes with trainer Sharon Jeffries and her stable foreman husband Dale Jeffries winning three races at Grenfell Picnics including the Cup with Rehanaat while further south their daughter, jockey Tiffany Jeffries, won the Holbrook Cup on Tableaux for Wangaratta trainer Russell Green.

Making a comeback,the talented former professional jockey William Pearson was aboard the Jeffries winning trio at Grenfell and before a record crowd gave classy exhibitions.
Rehanaat ($3.40) was given a charmed run by William Pearson behind the leaders in the Doug Allen Memorial Grenfell Picnic Cup (1400 metres) and took control in the straight to win by two lengths from Sergeant Bilko (Ricky Blewitt, $5.50) and Dream On Stan (Shannon Fogg, $5).
Raced by Phil Easman from Parkes, a long time client of the Jeffries stable,Rehanaat at the previous start had won the Trangie Gold Cup.
Armedanddangerous (William Pearson, $4.60) led throughout to win the Sweet Lauraine/Grenfell Pharmacy Class 2 Handicap (1200 metres) while the first leg of the Jeffries trained treble All Good (William Pearson, $2.10 favourite) overhauled One Eye Watching (Alan Barton,$4.40) in the Maiden Plate, 1200 metres.
Cowra trainer Neil Smart had last start Tullibigeal winner Princess Strada (Ricky Blewitt, $3) very fit to tackle the 2,000 metres in the McClintock President’s Class 1 Handicap and the 4 year old mare led all the way to beat Tumbleweed (Paula Mills, $3.40) and Moralto (Michael Wade, $2.70 fav.).
After 10 placings but still winless after 29 starts, the Trevor Sutherland,Wagga Wagga trained Deadly Cute (Shannon Fogg,$3) broke through to win the Maiden Plate (1000 metres) from Illourie Arch ( Ricky Blewitt,$5.50) and More Cheers (William Pearson,$1.70 fav.).
Shannon Fogg completed winning double when the Kylie Kennedy,Narromine trained Long Lasting ($5) from near last rushed down the outside to defeat Layo Layo (William Pearson, $2.50 fav.) and Raheen Lady (Michael Wade, $4.60) in the 1000 metres) Railway Hotel Handicap. Racing at Tomingley Picnics (Saturday) and Narromine (TAB) on Sunday with Bathurst and Nyngan to race on Anzac Day.
