An exciting finish to one of the matches played in Round 7 of the Mixed Teams Summer Competition on Wednesday when two teams at the final count of games won, were levelled at 32 games each. The team Rollsies Rabble, who have in the last few rounds just sneaked in a close win, a played the Young Guns who have been romping home with comfortable wins, however on Wednesday it was a different kettle of fish. Members for Rollsies Rabble were Lyndell Rolls, Tracey Walker (sub), Stephen Walker (sub) and Trent McCann and playing for the Young Guns were Matty Clarke, Jaykob Gavin, Trudie O'Byrne (sub) and Abbey Joyce (sub).

Bogolong and Beyond went on their winning way when they defeated The Lone Rangers 36 games to 28 in a good match. Bogolong and Beyond players were David Mitton, Jock Mitton (sub), Sandra Matthews and Sally Mitton, while The Lone Rangers consisted of Maria Neill, Leanne Livingstone, Paul Lynch and Craig Johnson. The team, Coppsies Floppsies scored a good win over Odds and Sods 41 games to 23. Coppsies Floppsies players were Danny Joyce, Peter Mitton, Lynne Peterson and Esma Baker (sub) while the Odds and Sods were Leigh Taylor, Stuart McKellar, Courtney Taylor and Hilary McKellar. Round 8 will be played next Wednesday, April 18.
Men’s Tennis Comp: On another warm pleasant night, the men played Round 10 of their Summer Competition and the top players were Danny Edwards and Grant Fisher with the good score of 29 games. Danny and Grant, won all their sets in fine style, 6/2, 6/2, 7/1, 5/3, 5/3. Well played men. Grahame Edwards and his fill-in for Pat Hazell, Lewis Keogh, won 23 games for the round. They won three of their sets 6/2, 5/3, 6/2 but went down in the second set 2/6, and levelled the last set 4/4. Andrew Bucknell and John Walmsley won 19 games. Their sets were 5/3, 4/4, 5/3, 2/6 and 3/5. Good to see Anthony Wilson back playing teaming up with Arnold Brown to win a total of 18 games. Scores were 3/5, 5/3, 3/5, 3/5, 4/4.
Winning 17 games were Graham Watt and Tracey Walker. Their sets were 2/6, 3/5, 3/5, 5/3, 4/4. Tracey was a fill-in for Mark Liebich. The other pair was Steven Brown filling in for Charles Harvey and Ben Walker, winning a total of 14 games. Round 11 will be played next Tuesday, April 17.
