The Weddin Shire was originally selected by Birding NSW as a suitable area within the South West Slopes Key Biodiversity Area (KBA), as the Club’s contribution to the monitoring of KBA sites in NSW.
During the last survey weekend in September 2017, 72 species of birds were recorded, with a total of 1,057 individual birds counted.
Birding NSW and Weddin Landcare invite anyone interested in learning more about our wonderful local birds, in the company of experts, to join us this Sunday, March 25, when we will once again have a leisurely stroll around Company Dam Reserve from 8.30am till 11am, meeting at the dam.
Please bring binoculars, sturdy shoes, a hat, water and a snack.
