Weddin Community Native Nursery

Updated February 27 2018 - 2:31pm, first published 9:18am

This magnificent sugar gum was planted at the Henry Lawson Obelisk by Henry's daughter, Bertha in 1988. Last year, the area was landscaped, using native plants, to complement the signage that tells Henry's story. It is very atmospheric and well worth a visit on a summer evening, with the birds settling in the tree. If you have a large space/paddock to plant such a specimen, or wish to use plants to create habitat for native creatures, the Nursery at 45 East St can supply your needs. Open 9am – 12noon  weekdays.
