Brumbies and Southern Inland Rugby Development Officer Zac Elliott is coming to Grenfell on March 3, 2018 with many fun and engaging activities to assist the Club to skill up all potential players.
Zac Elliot says "The friendships kids develop now playing rugby last a life time.
Rugby is a great sport where both boys and girls can learn and develop life skills in a fun and safe environment".
Zac is liaising with local schools as well and hopes to be able to run Rugby workshops at local schools whilst he is in Grenfell.
In association with the Brumbies and Southern Inland Rugby, the Club is hoping to welcome both new and returning players at this free fun rugby afternoon.
Families with boys and girls aged 5yrs to 16yrs are welcome to join in the fun on March 3 from 4pm till 7pm at R.B. Bembrick Oval for an awesome afternoon of Rugby Union and Viva (touch).
The afternoon will wrap up with a game of rugby 7’s – yes that means Mums and Dads too!
A FREE BBQ dinner will follow for all players.
“Last year saw the introduction the fast growing game of Viva 7s, a non-contact sport with all the skills and fast pace of rugby sevens, complimenting the full contact game well.” says Brad Robinson, Club President.
“This year we will continue the growth of Viva 7s along with the traditional game to further improve the skills, fitness and sportsmanship of all our players,
“The draw again is family friendly with most full gala days and half gala days played fortnightly and breaks over the school holidays. As always, new families and players are most welcome.”
Registrations will be taken on the day for the 2018 Junior Rugby season.
We will be looking to field teams in the following divisions:
U7’s (non-tackle), U8’s, U10’s, U12’s, U14’s and U16’s and Girls VIVA 7’s – U10’s,U14’s and U16’s.
