“It has been such an overwhelming response,” said Elly Schiller from the Grenfell Voices Against Violence committee,
“Since calling for donations we have been inundated with quality items from members of our community, we literally have hundreds of items to choose from and are expecting to host a successful event thanks to the generosity of local residents.”
The ‘Clothes Swap’ fundraiser will be held at the Uniting Church Hall on Wednesday April 11, 2018 from 9.30 am till 12 pm.
There have been hundreds of items of women’s clothing ranging from size 8 to 28 donated to the cause, as well as baby items, children’s clothing, shoes, handbags, scarves and jewellery, there is something for everybody.
Cost is just $10.00 for 5 items and a delicious morning tea will be provided for free.
All proceeds will go towards to promoting awareness of domestic violence including education and providing essential resources to community members within the Weddin Shire.
So please come along and enjoy a morning of shopping, socialising and sweet treats and help raise funds towards a great cause while you’re at it.
The Grenfell Voices Against Violence committee look forward to seeing you there.
