Police have recovered the body of a man, believed to be from Sydney, following a search at Wyangala Dam over the weekend.

Police from Canobolas Local Area Command were called to Gerties camping area at Wyangala Dam at about about 6pm on Friday, February 9, 2018 after 38-year-old Damir Beganovic was seen to disappear underwater and not resurface.
Police said Mr Beganovic had gone to the aid of a nine-year-old boy – believed to be his son – in the water, who was rescued by a kayaker.
A search began involving local police, assisted by State Emergency Service.
The search of the river and surrounding shoreline continued until 10.30pm when it was suspended.
Inspector Dave Harvey of Canobolas Local Area Command said NSW Ambulance, police, the State Emergency Services and police divers from Sydney were involved in the search which resumed about 7am on Saturday February 10.
Inspector Harvey said the body was recovered about 1pm on Saturday.
Inspector Harvey said the Police Forensic Services Group and Orange detectives were continuing investigations and a report would be prepared for the coroner.
He added that the State Emergency Services had assisted greatly during the search and recovery of Mr Beganovic’s body.
Mr Beganovic is believed to be from southwest Sydney and a member of an archery club.
Members of the Maydaan Archery Club at Leppington expressed their grief online.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances and the tragic loss of one of our dearest members we will not be holding a shoot this Sunday as we will all be mourning our lost brother Damir Beganovic,” the statement said.
The tragedy is the second death on the dam’s waters in the space of less than two months.
In December a 13-year-old boy from Rouse Hill was participating in the Ski Racing NSW state titles when he fell from his ski at high speed.
Blake Tickell was treated at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted to Orange hospital then airlifted to Westmead Children’s Hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.
The teenager had suffered serious head and spinal injuries at the scene, police say.
It is understood he was travelling about 120 kilometres per hour at the time of his crash.
