ENGLAND RUGBY
UNION: Local lad Seth Stoltenberg is moving to the UK to commence work with England Rugby Union. Family gathered on Thursday night at the Railway Hotel to bon voyage Seth and wish him well on his endeavour to commence in the position of Community Coaching Coordinator – Surrey Metropolitan. Seth has worked in the Grenfell area as a Brumbies Development Officer and more recently with the Queensland Reds. When he arrives in England he will stay with a previous resident of Grenfell, Kristin Shipway. Seth’s proud grandparents Clive and Wendy Anderson of Grenfell and Brad and Janet Hewitt of Braidwood were in attendance to wish Seth farewell.
PULL OVER DRIVER: Former local, Constable Simon Hill of Canberra had a fun day with his beautiful niece Tayla Elphick when he pulled her over in her hot red Ford. Taylor is daughter of Laura (nee Hill), granddaughter of David and Anne Hill and great granddaughter of the late Roma Hill of Grenfell. When Taylor was pulled over by Constable Simon Hill he asked, “Do you know why I pulled you over?” She answered, “Because I was going over the cute limit.” Officer Hill answered, “Heck yes!” Maybe because it was a Ford! What a wonderful picture.
