According to police facts around 1.45pm on January 17 police were informed of a possible drug transaction on Melyra Street, Grenfell . As a result of this information police began a patrol of Melyra Street where they found Fergusion and another person. Police stopped and spoke to the pair before informing them they would be searched. Fergusion’s companion complied searching himself from police.
Fergusion at first refused to be searched but eventually consented, handing over a pink handbag to be searched telling police, “It’s in the middle pocket.” When police searched the bag they located a clear resealable bag which contained cannabis. Fergusion was then arrested and taken to Grenfell Police Station where the bag was weighed at 34 grams.
