Please allow me to respond to your story in last Friday’s paper 9/2/18 Re: Medical Centre Concrete.
Grenfell QA Concrete has had and continues to have an excellent relationship with the Weddin Shire Council. I accept the apology given to myself by the General Manager, Glenn Carroll and the Mayor Mark Liebich.
Assurances have been given that council has no issues with using locally produced concrete for the remainder of the Medical Centre project.
Both the Mayor and the General Manager praised the quality of the concrete and the service provided by our company. Each being customers in their own right, having used our concrete extensively in their business and residence respectively.
With the oversight resolved, I bear no ill-feelings. We look forward to continuing our long standing working relationship with council.
The benefits of keeping our ratepayer money in town have been acknowledged by council and assurance has been given that local business will be used in the future.
Thank you to those people who contacted me in support of our business, including those who are also in business striving to survive and keep goods and services available in our town.
Regards,
Michael Mitton – Manager
