This week Joy Murray, Pat Reid, Kathy Betcher and Rosemary Walter will compete in the District Fours to be held at Cootamundra Ex-Services club.
We are combining again with Boroowa X for Pennants this year due to low numbers, to compete against Cootamundra Country Club, Cootamundra X and Young in the No 4 grade.
Social bowls are played every Thursday morning, names are to be in by 9.30am for a 10am start.
Play is mufti (non-uniform) and anyone interested in having a game is more than welcome to come along and join in the fun.
You don't have to be a bowler and you will find everyone will be ready and willing to help you learn, bowls will be provided to those people that don't own them.
The only requirements are tidy clothes, flat shoes, sunblock and a sense of humor.
If you have always thought about joining bowls but you feel you are physically unable to play, just remember, if you don't try you won't know. All we want you to do is enjoy, so come along and have a go.
With Pennants coming up it is time for those involved to re-visit their general rules, read your rule book.
Some of the most obvious will be here over the coming week.
Rule 36.1.1 Players at the mat-end of the rink who are not delivering a bowl should stand at least 1 metre behind the mat.
