Mr Kemp Killerby, pictured with Pat Soley, Coral White, Heather Holzhauser, Pam Livingstone, Annette Katona and Noel Cartwright travelled from Toowoomba to source some Wilga seedlings for research.
Fortunately, WCNN had a tray that suited his needs.
The seeds are apparently difficult to propagate and ours was the only nursery that had some available. Kemp contacted us on Facebook.
After that lovely soaking storm, the plants at the Nursery are jumping out of their pots and volunteers are kept busy weeding.
There are also trays of seedlings needing to be pricked out to grow for Local Land Services orders.
The Weddin Community Native Nursery is located at 45 East Street, Grenfell and is open weekdays between 9am – 12noon.
The nursery is currently brimming with a huge array of healthy local native plants that are perfectly suited to gardens and properties within the Weddin Shire.
