SURPRISE VISITORS: Last weekend we had a surprise visit from former resident Allan and his wife Carol Cluff from Townsville.
Allan’s parents are Merill and the late Lance Cluff. Lance was Stationmaster in Grenfell during the 1960’s through to the early 1970’s.
A feature of the Grenfell Railway Station was the magnificent garden which surrounded the station and nearby residence.
Allan and Carol had been visiting Merrill in Cowra and Carol’s family the Pettit’s in West Wyalong.
They were both very impressed with the restoration of the Railway Station precinct and were seeking memorabilia/photos of same. Naturally we put them on to Lawrance Ryan at Cowra, who we believe had many of the photographs etc of the station and surrounds.
