Grenfell swimmers scoop the pool

With Grenfell hosting the regional swimming championships in just over two weeks strong performances are expected from some of our local swim stars following stellar performances at qualifying carnivals in Bathurst and Orange.

At the Bathurst Qualifying Carnival on January 21 George, Niamh and Ella Mitton represented the Grenfell club.

All three left the meeting with personal best times during the day.

George Mitton placed 2nd in 50m Freestyle with a very quick time of 28.70.

Well done George.

At the Orange NSW Country carnival on January Tom and Harry Robinson represented the Grenfell club also with some personal time achievements.

Harry competed in a number of events with some personal bests recorded.

Tom had a big program coming home from holiday with some great results which included a third in the 100m freestyle, third in the 50m breaststroke, third in the 100m Butterfly and a second in the 50m Freestyle.

His time for the 50 metre freestyle was a very slick 27.18.

Congratulations to George, Niamh and Ella Mitton and Tom and Harry Robinson for your efforts and personal achievements, you are great ambassadors for the Grenfell Swimming Club.
