There is a variety of opportunities on offer this term.
Sewing and crafts are very popular but there is also the opportunity to try other activities.
Gentle exercise is an old favourite.
There is also card-playing and board games which are purely for pleasure and socializing.
Paper-crafts, Tatting and Rare Crafts may interest others.
This term there is the opportunity to find out more about the Christian faith with one group looking at the Gospel of Mark with Leonie Morrow.
Another new opportunity this term is to develop your artistic skills with an art group ably taught by Kathleen McCue.
The theme will be ‘Poppies’.
Leisure Group provides a great opportunity to learn a new skill or to practice an old one in the company of others.
Costs are able to be kept at a minimum with all teachers volunteering their time and talents making it is a great community-building time.
For those with young children the well-equipped crèche gives you the chance to work uninterrupted.
Registration commences at 9.30am at the Uniting Church Hall, Camp Street, Grenfell, ready for a 10am start.
The cost has stayed at the great value price of $25 per term and this includes all tuition, morning tea as well as a crèche for pre-school age children.
Also, not all courses are offered every term so if a course appeals to you, it may be best to seize the opportunity.
Courses on offer in term one include (some are dependent on numbers): Patchwork; Needlework – Hardanger, Cross-Stitch, Smocking; Papercrafts - Colouring, Scrapbooking, Card-Making; Tatting; Gentle Exercise; Crochet/ Knitting; Rare Crafts - Tricotting, Hairpin, Broomstick; Cards and Board Games; Sewing for Beginners; What is the Bible about? – an 8 week look at the Gospel of Mark.
