More than 50 guests and helpers sat together and enjoyed a special Christmas luncheon in the Anglican Memorial Hall on December 23. The hot Christmas meal was provided for people who for various reasons would be spending Christmas on their own.

This year invitations were personally handed out and this proved very successful.

The hall and tables were set up and decorated and the delicious two- course meal supplied and served by members of each of the six Grenfell churches.

The Christmas message was given by LLM Jill Hodgson from the Anglican Church. It was a day of blessing for all, both guests and volunteer servers.

This is the fourth year that this Christmas luncheon has been arranged.

The first two lunches were held at the Salvation Army Hall and last year it was held at the Family Church. In 2018 the Christmas lunch will be held at the Presbyterian Church Hall.

If anyone would like to help or hand out invitations or become involved in any way, please get in touch with your local church.
