Late last year our club hosted a social visit from a group of bowlers from Wallerawang. Now, the Wallerawang boys have invited us to make a return visit to their club on the Australia Day weekend. The bus will leave on Friday, January 26 and return on Sunday, January 28. Names in by this Friday.
It was pleasing to see that social bowls remained popular over the Christmas break, with a total of more than 100 bowlers out on the greens enjoying a game. Needless to say, there were no starters on Sunday when the temperature climbed into the 40s.
Among recent prize winners were: Chooks – Steve Galvin, Blake Bradtke (2), Rob Coleman (3), Mark McSpadden, Barry Butler, Gary Pipe and David Ballard; Market Night Vouchers – Andrew Armstrong, Barry Bradtke (2), John King, Nevin Hughes, Clive Anderson, Keith Brus (2), Denis Hughes and Mark McSpadden; Free games – Barry Jones (2), Denis Hughes, John Joyce, Dave Hancock, Andrew Armstrong, Mark McSpadden, Lindsay Ballard (2) and Kerry Aston.
Meanwhile, a list is on the board if you would like a new name badge.
