The news has been confirmed by Dr Neil who is now based in Young and owns the medical practice in Grenfell.
Dr Neil said Dr Vijay Dubey MBBS AMC has signed a contract to practice in Grenfell for the next four years.
Dr Dubey (to be known as VJ) has a Batchelor of Medicine and Surgery from Gukarat in India which he completed in 2006.
He has been in Australia for some years with posts including the Emergency Department of Gosford Hospital for two years; a year in the Mental Health field in Gippsland and closer to home at Boorowa.
VJ is married and has a little girl.
His wife is involved in banking but is not presently living in Grenfell.
His family, two sisters and a brother in India are all doctors.
He said he is enjoying Grenfell very much and meeting his new patients.
VJ said he would like to play cricket for Grenfell as it is his favourite sport.
He is also keen to play some squash and feels he needs to join the local gym.
In 2018 he will commence his studies to gain his Australian Fellowship but in the meantime is registered to carry out general practice with no restrictions.
It is hoped the formalities will be completed before too long to enable him to be a VMO at the hospital.
