A 28-year-old man from Denmark is expected to appear in court next month after the vehicle he was travelling in was detected at 136 kph in a 100 kph area on the Mid Western Highway near Grenfell.

The car was detected just after 11pm on Saturday, December 30. He underwent a roadside breath test which proved positive. The man was arrested and taken to Grenfell Police Station where a breath analysis produced a reading of 0.135.
The 28-year-old’s licence was suspended and he was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice to attend Young Local Court on January 23, 2018 where he will answer allegations of driving with a mid-range prescribed concentration of alcohol and exceeding the speed limit by more than 30kph.
