The occasion was celebrated on Sunday November 19 at the Grenfell Showground.
The day begun with some fun games for the children which included musical flags, bending flags, decorating the Christmas tree, jelly baby gobble and the crowd favourite ‘Walk trot run bob the Apple’. There was plenty of laughs and cheering and even the horses joined in.
Following the games the children dismounted their horses and proceeded to dress themselves and their ponies in some fancy dress costumes, which they had thought long and hard about putting on a fabulous display for all to enjoy.
All the kids looked spectacular from Little Red Riding Hood and Grandma (aka the wolf) to The Mad Hatter and The Cheshire Cat. Congratulations to Blair Randall and ‘Summer’ who took out first prize as two very colourful circus clowns.
The club then had held their 2017 season presentation of awards followed by a scrumptious Christmas lunch.
All the children put in a fantastic effort in 2017 and showed great improvement.
Club officials look forward to further successes and fun in 2018. Awards were presented as follows:
