The only championship game played this week was a Mixed Pairs match on Saturday between Pat and Keith Brus and Ross and Tracey Hunter.
The scores remained fairly even throughout the early part of the game and after 15 ends, Pat and Keith led narrowly by 11-10.
This proved to be the turning point in the match and a resurgence by the Hunters saw them win the remaining five ends, racking up 13 shots to take out the match 23-11.
Social Bowls: The mild and pleasant early summer weather has enticed social bowlers out in force over the past week, with a total of 60 enjoying a game.
In addition, 26 bowlers turned out for our mixed twilight bowls on Saturday evening, making a grand total of 86 bowlers – Great to see!

In addition, the club has two hams to give away at our Twilight bowls next Saturday, December 16, which will be a mixed bowls evening with both men and women participating.
So if you would like to win a ham for Christmas or be among the many regular prize winners, why not join us for a great afternoon or evening of social bowls.
