Bradtke competed in a team skippered by Molong bowler Steve Shannon.
The team won all of its five matches, some of which were played in teeming rain.
It was a magnificent effort, considering there were 52 teams entered, with some of the state’s best bowlers taking part.
Recently, Bradtke has teamed with fellow Grenfell bowler Ray Walter and Nick Darius from Katoomba to win the Blayney Triples tournament and the 2017 Cherry Festival Triples at Young in consecutive weeks.
Well done Blakey!
A Grenfell team comprising Andrew Armstrong (skip) Steve Galvin, John Joyce and Tim Fowler also competed in the Carillon City Fours, with a creditable performance in the atrocious conditions, winning three of their five games.
Club Championships:
There was just one Mixed Pairs match finalised during the week, when Sonia Ingall and Andrew Armstrong clashed with the husband and wife team of Joy and Quentin Murray.
Sonia and Andrew charged out of the barrier in devastating form to lead by 10 shots to one after eight ends.
The Murrays won the next four ends and the score after 11 ends was 10-7.
However, Sonia and Andrew scored a couple of four-shots to dominate the match, eventually running out winners 21-12.
Social Bowls:
Even though there were only six starters on Sunday after the deluge of Friday night and Saturday, a total of 37 players enjoyed a game of social bowls during the week.
Considering there was 30cm of water over the greens on Saturday night, the green ran surprisingly well on Sunday, proving that our drainage is working very well.
Prize winners this week were:
Chooks – Ted Pickwell, John Dumbrell, Rob Chambers, Keith Brus and John King.
Market Night vouchers were won by John Grogan, Ray Walter, Rob Coleman, Kerry Aston and Barry Butler.
Free games went to Rob Coleman, Mark McSpadden, David Hancock, Clive Anderson and Lindsay Ballard.

Jackpot:
The jackpot has risen to $80 after failing to find a winner this week.
The combo required was +2 on End 6 on an even rink.
