Average rainfall for November, farmers pleased with harvest: The Grenfell Weather Station recorded 50 mm of rain for November and the average since 1885 is 49.6 mm. Some local properties measured a little more than their average. The November rain was not welcome by most farmers who were in the middle of harvest, however despite the rain interfering with harvest operations, farmers are quite pleased with the overall returns. The Greenethorpe property, ''Gambarra'' has stripped the majority of its wheat crop. David Brown said they had 250 acres of lupins to harvest and that the overall returns were much better than he had first thought. He went on to say the canalo crop also went very well. Mr Allen Kelly of the Quandialla property, "Glen Idol", said their wheat went pretty good, averaging around the 10 to 12 bags. He said they still had 500 acres of oats and barley to be stripped. During last week's stormy weather, "Glen Idol" recorded 25 mm of rain, bringing the property's total for the month to 59 mm.
