The November meeting chaired by Chris Lobb was held at the Country Club to coincide with the Grenfell Red Cross Melbourne Cup Day luncheon. The main topic was the success of the 2017 Open Garden weekend held in October. Lovingly and thoughtfully presented gardens, perfect weather and many keen visitors contributed to the great weekend.

The financial success of this annual event enabled President Chris Lobb to present cheques to both Red Cross and Can-Assist. Funds were also allocated for the provision of a seat for use by visitors to the Grenfell cemetery.
The Christmas lunch will be held on Tuesday December 5, 2017 at the Railway Hotel at 12pm for 12.30pm start, it is hoped that residents who opened their gardens in October will be able to attend as guests. The next meeting will be held at 2pm on Tuesday March 6, 2018 at the home of Sue and Jim Dunlop, 35 Tyagong Street, Grenfell.
