Major/Minors Pairs Championship: Kerry Aston and Tim Fowler advanced to the next round of the Major/Minors Pairs Championship on Sunday when they defeated the father and son combination of Barry and Blake Bradtke in a hard-fought match.
The score see-sawed throughout the contest with both teams winning eight ends apiece and after 17 ends the score was locked at 16-all. However, Kerry and Tim hunkered down and took out the next three ends, adding a total of five shots to their tally. The Bradtkes were still in the match on the last end and, although they won it, could only manage one shot, making Kerry and Tim the victors by 21-17.
