When the Michael Lynch, Cowra trained Tinmine gained the photo finish decision in the final event at Wellington on Monday it compensated for the narrow defeat of stablemate London Cab in an earlier race.

Raced by Ian Eastaway and his mother Jan Eastaway from Grenfell, the five year old gelding London Cab (Andrew Banks, $6.50) set the pace before going down by a short half head to the Rodney Robb, Nyngan trained Lucienne ($5) well ridden by Cowra jockey Eleanor Webster-Hawes.
Finishing a close third in the One Stop Automotive Class 1 Handicap (1100 metres) was last start Dubbo winner Caisson Platoon ($7) with apprentice Chris Williams in the saddle.
In the ownership of Ian Eastaway from Grenfell and former Cowra identity Brian Witt, the Michael Lynch trained Tinmine ($14) with Cowra jockey Mathew Cahill aboard found the early lead and in a exciting finish to the Barnson Surveyors Class 3 Handicap (1000 metres) won by a short head from Blinkin Fast (Jodi Worley, $12) with a short half head to third placed Rosetta's Comet (Mikayla Weir, $4.60 favourite).
The jockeys on Tinmine and London Cab both wore the blue jacket and gold cap colours carried over 50 years ago by the Grenfell owned and trained outstanding galloper Jenarkol.
Ridden to perfection by Irish born apprentice Robbie Dolan, the well supported Quietly Confident ($12) came from midfield with a rails run to win the Ray Boden Painting Benchmark 53 Handicap (1600 metres) from Handful Of Aces (Andrew Banks, $5) and The Real McCoy (Chris Williams, $8.50).
Now trained by Cindy Monaghan at Dubbo, Quietly Confident won two starts back at Narromine when trained at Walgett by Richard Jackson who is still a part owner of the 8 year old gelding.

Several jockeys from the central west will ride on Friday at the Bong Bong Picnics held near Mittagong south of Sydney.
Ricky Blewitt from Narromine and Alan Barton (Gulgong) have won the past two Bong Bong Picnic Cups for the high profile Cummings stable at Randwick.
