The Grenfell Senior Citizens committee continues to hold their regular monthly meetings with good attendances but always a few apologies. There has been quite a lot of work to be done especially in the three units in Forbes and George Streets which were vacated a while ago, however we now welcome the new tenants and wish them happiness and contentment in their new surroundings. The heavy frosts and dry winter have left a toll on the gardens, but all are looking better now, especially the roses.

In October some members worked at another drum muster raising $1360 for their efforts, a good result indeed. A visitor from New Zealand was there to see what the routine was, he was impressed.
The committee are now looking at plans for more new units on the Parkes Street block, but as you know these things move slowly.
Our second street stall was held in October, it was very well stocked and supported by the community. The raffle winners were Debbie Stanton and Meryl Hunter. The next meeting is to be held on Tuesday November 28 followed by supper.
