Fanny had the Hall rocking with tunes from her new album, Real Class Act. Guests traveled from Grenfell, Cowra, Young, Terrigal, Sydney, Cooma and Narrandra to see Fanny play in Greenethorpe. "We were quite overwhelmed with the response " says Danielle Allen from the Greenethorpe Hall Committee. "I think we were exceptionally lucky to have our Hall included in Fanny's tour. We haven't seen that many people at the Hall in some years."
Young and old enjoyed the music, with many people dancing and singing along. Melody Moko the support act was also a stunning vocalist and her young 3 yr old son even joined her stage for a song or two. The local act was a brave group of budding singers from the Cowra Singing Studio who entertained the crowd singing to songs they have never performed before. Vintage tractors lined the street which was decked with colourful bunting and fairy lights to set the scene for a relaxed and fun community event.
The Greenethorpe Hall Committee continues to raise funds for their much anticipated external War Memorial. The concert fell on Remembrance Day and special mention of the plans for the Memorial were made. There were some beautiful red poppy themed art works from the Greenethorpe Public School on display.
The Hall committee wishes to thank everybody who came along and supported this fabulous event. The Committee are already well underway planning for their next big fundraising event on March 17, 2018. This is the much anticipated biannual Greenethorpe Ball, with a "One Night in Vegas" theme which will see the Hall transformed into a glittering casino.
