50TH WEDDING
ANNIVERARY:
Congratulations to Keith and Judy Muldoon who celebrated 50 years of wedded bliss on Saturday November 11.
Keith and Judy were married in Binnaway in 1967.
They moved to Caragabal in 1977 and then to Grenfell eight or nine years ago.
GALVIN GATHERING:
The families of Leo and Mena Galvin held a gathering in Grenfell on November 11 and 12.
A luncheon was held in the Showground Supper Room on Saturday.
Leo was born in Grenfell on November 18 1917 and Mena in Portland, NSW on November 9 1917.
The occasion was the centenary of their births. Special guests were Leo’s sister Sister Macrina (RSM), his brother Peter and sisters-in-law Mary and Veronica.
Mena's sister, Sister Patricia O'Loughlin (RSC), was not well enough to make the trip to Grenfell but she sent her good wishes.
Their son-in-law Rick from Canberra and their granddaughter Jennifer and her family, who are living in Denver, were unable to attend.
On Sunday, the family attended Mass at St Joseph’s Catholic Church and after Mass Father Kevin Flynn baptised three of Leo and Mena’s great-grandchildren, Asher and Maisie Fallon; grandchildren of Margaret (dec)) and William Thornton; grandson of Jo.
The families were glad to be back in Grenfell and enjoyed sharing old memories and creating new ones.

All are welcome, and a courtesy bus will be available – telephone the club if you would like to be picked up around 6.30pm.
GRENFELL VISITORS:
Although it is sad that people have to return home sometimes, it proves that school friends remain great friends.
Recently Janet (Barr) Parker and Sharon (Witcombe) Brown, James Nowlan, Paul Periera, Rodney Byrne and Steven Carroll were some of the many visitors who caught up with locals Grant Simpson and Michael Mitton to pay their respects to the Parker family following Barry’s passing.
Sharon and Janet boasted that they were tennis champions from 1973 -79 and no doubt the boys also had some stories to tell, as you can see by the photo in which they are pictured with Anthony and Greg Parker.
MEET AND GREEK:
Effy and Leonard – who many will have heard on the radio over the past week – will give their presentation at the Visitors Information Centre this Saturday at 11 am.
This will be followed by a lunch for all attending, provided by the ‘Friends of the Library’.
On Saturday evening, the real fun begins with a Greek dinner, music by Theodora throughout, and then jukebox hits with Craig to work off the irresistible food.
