Grenfell artist Beverly Lappan has been extremely successful in the 2017 Harden-Murrumburra 25th Annual Festival of Arts Council Exhibition.
This exhibition has been gaining considerable district and regional recognition over the past few years because of the quality of art submitted and judging of all entries.
On Friday night, October 27, Beverly found out she had been successful with three of her entries.
A first prize in the pastel section,a first prize in the oil/acrylic section and the major G.O.Kruger Award for the most outstanding painting in the exhibition.
The exhibition was opened by well known identity Gloria Schultz and official welcome made by Mayor of Hilltops Council Brian Ingram.
The judge was Jenny Foster, also well known across the region, and who judged all entries in the exhibition.
“I was delighted to be announced the overall winner and receive the prestigious G.O. Kruger Award, it was a great honour, I would also like to thank those who organised the event for such a wonderful and enjoyable evening.” Beverly told the Record.
Beverly has been a successful member of the Rose Street Art Studio for many years and has contributed to both local and regional art exhibitions .
