A number of residents have been concerned about problems they are experiencing with NBN connectivity. One resident encountered problems after receiving a visit from two engineers to install a NBN modem. After arriving unannounced the pair got to work and by the time they were done the resident was left with no landline or internet. He was instructed to contact a technician from Forbes who arrived the next day but could not resolve the problem, he was then told it would be January 2018 before someone could investigate. After being advised to contact the Telecommunications Ombudsman, which he did, his landline was re-connected within 24 hrs.
