Another close affair for the men in Round 2 of their Spring Tennis Competition on Tuesday night when two pairs finished up winning 27 games each.
They were Danny Joyce and John Walmsley and Andrew Bucknell and Rod Freudenstein.
Playing great tennis, Danny and John won their first four sets 5/3, 6/2, 5/3, 7/1 and levelled the last set 4/4 with Grant Fisher and Pat Hazell.
A very good effort by Danny and John.
Andrew Bucknell and Rod Freudenstein also put in a fine performance to win three of their sets 7/1, 7/1, 7/1, but lost the other two sets 3/5, 3/5 after some very competitive tennis.
Graham Watt who was a fill-in for Grahame Edwards teamed up with Hugh Moffitt to win a total of 21 games.
They lost their first two sets 3/5, 3/5, then won 6/2, levelled the fourth set 4/4 and then won the last set for the night 5/3.
Leigh Taylor and Mark Liebich battled away in their tennis to win 18 games with mixed results.
Their sets were 1/7, 5/3, 4/4, 1/7, 7/1. Just a game behind, winning 17 for the round were Grant Fisher and Pat Hazell.
They certainly had a close night of tennis when four of their sets finished at 4/4.
They lost the other set 1/7 against Andrew Bucknell and Rod Freudenstein.
The other pair taking part in Round 2 of the Spring Competition, Charles Harvey and his fill-in for Arnold Brown, Ben Walker had little luck in their sets.
The men played Round 2 of their competition in much cooler conditions than the previous week when they played Round 1.
Round 3 will be played next Tuesday night, weather permitting. Watch this space for results.
Many thanks to those who supported the ladies' tennis day.

The winner of the A Division was Shirley Davies of Caragabal and runner-up was Margo Taylor of Grenfell.
In the B Division, Val Withers from Bumbaldry was the successful winner and Lorraine Francis of Cowra was the runner-up.
It was Shirley Davies day as she was the winner of the Lucky Door prize.
