The Society has had a successful year with admissions well up, boosted by the Sesquicentennial year activities.
Donations to the Museum have continued to be received and cataloging is progressing well.
The arrival of the new Compactis unit has been a great acquisition, and will allow so much more storage.
Many thanks to the Grenfell Lions’ club for this donation, and help with the installation of the Compactis.
More people are requesting history searches and this is keeping the research officer busy.
The Historical Society Street Stall fundraiser is scheduled for Friday and Saturday October 6 and 7, 2017.
So anyone who has any donations of salable goods to contribute they would be most welcome.
A reminder to residents that the Museum is located in Camp Street (next to the Fire Station), Grenfell NSW and is open on Mondays from 9am –10am and on Saturdays and Sundays from 2pm –4pm.
Or at other times by arrangement.
The museum holds extensive collections of local historical records, maps, photographs and comprehensive displays of household items, musical items and sporting records.
The museum should be your first port of call for family history research with several experts on hand to assist.
