Many descendants of early committee members will be returning to Grenfell on Saturday September 23 for this eagerly awaited race day, including Griffith, Fountain and Knight families.
The six race program features the Grenfell Cup as well as the Henry Lawson Loaded Dog Handicap.
The track is in excellent condition and the racing surface will be in tip-top condition for this year’s meeting.
Attractions on the day will include the Grenfell Town Band, Fashions on the Field, TAB, Bookmakers, On Course Punter’s Club as well as the usual Bar and Canteen facilities and the Lions’ famous Jumping Castle and Merry Go Round for the kiddies.
Admission this year is $15 per person. Children under 16 accompanied by a responsible adult will be admitted free of charge.
Everyone must pay on entering the gate.
Those eligible for free entry will be reimbursed at the office.
