Remember to take an hour out of your day to read to yourself, to your child or pop in and visit your favorite library even if to sit and read the paper.
For those who prefer to read eBooks will love the new incoming collection.
Grenfell will be launching the new eBook collection later this month or early next month depending on the technical aspects of the process.
So keep an eye out for further details as they come to hand.
This week we have a large number of new items becoming available for loan. In the Adult fiction titles we have The shadow of the wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafron, The handmaid’s tale by Margaret Atwood, Jessica by Bryce Courtenay, Seven Ancient Wonders by Matthew Reilly.
The time traveler’s wife by Audrey Niffenegger, We need to talk about Kevin by Lionel Shriver, One day by David Nichols, The inaugural meeting of the Fairvale ladies book club by Sophie Green, A legacy of spies by John Le Carre
Lots of new magazine titles have been received this week.
Titles include Country Style, National Geographic Kids, Backyard, Good Health.
Choice Computer, Choice, Gardening Australia, Small Farms and Australian Country.
Don’t forget to grab a magazine survey to help decide on which titles to keep and suggest any new titles.
New Non-Fiction books this week include Cold vein by Anne Tonner and Backyard bounty from the Organic Gardener team.
New Talking Books titles include Dear Amy by Helen Callaghan and Murder in my backyard by Ann Cleeves.
School holidays are coming up later in the month so keep an eye out for some kids’ activities.
Not many people are aware but the Library offers a weekly housebound service to those who are unable to visit the library due to poor health, constrained with a disability, suffering from a chronic illness, frail aged or a resident in the MPS.
