Organisers of the tournament, Sally Mitton and Mandy Taylor are looking forward to a great day’s tennis as several of Grenfell’s older ladies are keen to enter. Players in the Tournament are asked to turn up next Wednesday at 9 am for a 9.30 am start and players will be graded into A and B. Several local ladies recently travelled over to Cowra for their very successful Point Score Tennis Tournament at which Mandy Taylor was the winner of the day and her mother, Esma Baker was runner-up. Many Cowra ladies have indicated they will be taking part in the Grenfell Tournament next Wednesday.

LADIES’ SPRING NIGHT COMP: The 2017 Ladies Spring Night competition is planned to commence on Tuesday, September 19. This competition in the past has always been very successful and enjoyable, so any lady players wishing to take part are asked to enter with Lyndell Rolls on 6343 3214 asap. Those ladies taking part in this competition please note that play will be on Tuesday night when the men play their spring competition.

The first round of the Men’s Spring Competition was stalled on Tuesday night as too many fill-ins had to be found. Weather conditions were also very unfavourable. Hopefully next Tuesday night, all players will make themselves available and that conditions are more pleasant.
