12.20pm Youth League – Condobolin v Canowindra
1.30pm League Tag – Cargo v Manildra
3.00pm First Grade – Manildra v Peak Hill
The three matches will be very competitive as the stakes are high with the losers out for the season. A reminder that the gate is owned and operated by the Woodbridge Cup Committee and NO GLASS is to be taken into the ground as per Country Rugby League rules.
The Girlannas will play Eugowra this Sunday at Trundle at 12.30pm. The winner will have next weekend off and go straight through to the Grand Final to be played at Condobolin on Sunday September 10. The Girlannas are undefeated and have had a fantastic season but they will come up against a Eugowra team who are suited to semi-final football with their tight and mistake free style of play. Best of luck Girlannas.
Last Saturday at Eugowra the season ended for the Goannas when they were defeated 40-16 by Peak Hill. The match started with both teams feeling each other out until Peak Hill broke the deadlock with a try in the 25th minute. This was followed by another 3 tries before half time and Peak Hill went to the break with a 20 to nil lead. Grenfell scored first after half time and appeared to gain momentum but this was snuffed out with Peak Hill scoring a number of tries and comfortably wrapping up the match.
